Every successful person had one or more people in their lives who believed in them, and who were willing to “take the bet.” I was lucky enough to have a few of those as well. They made me aware of blind spots that would at some point become a showstopper. At the same time, they helped me to leverage key qualities. Sometimes subtle, sometimes brutally honest and direct. Always with generosity and compassion.

After graduating with an MSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, Mariëlle focused her career on the impact and development of human capital. She has built her experience over more than 20 years at global organizations, both listed and private equity, at home and abroad, always in HR leadership roles at the MT / Executive Board level. Sectors she has gotten to know in depth include retail, business and professional services, healthcare, and process industries.

Mariëlle is a strong connector. She is an excellent listener who asks insightful questions. She combines an analytical mind with creativity in designing solutions, always connecting the primary process, organization DNA, and culture with strategic objectives and market conditions. She explicitly focuses on leadership and teams, and what is needed to empower and grow them, to ensure leadership continuity combined with lasting change and transformation.

Particularly effective at supporting founders, CEOs, and entrepreneurs, she is seen as approachable through all layers of the organization, down to earth, and with a good sense of humor.
