“If you’re leading and no one is following, you’re just going for a walk.”
That line has always stayed with me. I am fascinated by what happens in the space between people, in teams and organizations. What makes people move. How behaviour and culture can work for you instead of quietly working against you.
For me, impact must be visible and measurable. I often meet leaders and teams who have not yet unlocked the real potential of their organization. They feel stuck. In many cases, the system unintentionally steers people into exactly the behaviour that is not wanted. I enjoy giving language and clarity to that, so the context can shift and movement becomes possible again.
When purpose, strategy, concrete goals and a healthy work culture are aligned, everything changes.

Leontine combines a corporate foundation in law and finance with an anthropologist’s eye and deep societal awareness. She reads organizations with all senses, connecting strategic insight, sharp analysis and strong empathy. She is trained in Deep Democracy and corporate anthropology, adding depth to her executive and non-executive experience.
Her career began as a lawyer at NautaDutilh in corporate finance and M&A. She moved into investment banking and commercial banking before starting her independent practice in 2015 as board advisor, executive and interim leader. She has since guided major transformations in customer focus, sustainability, performance improvement and culture.
Leontine is a member of the supervisory boards of Autoriteit Financiële Markten (AFM), Rode Kruis Ziekenhuis and Verzetsmuseum Amsterdam. She is also a board member of Zabawas and Stichting Onderzoek Rechtspleging. She teaches at Nyenrode University and NCD and leads governance networks for experienced NEDs.
