Jeanine Tijhaar is an executive coach and a transformational leader dedicated to helping individuals and organizations grow with purpose, courage, and authenticity. Drawing on her experience as CFO and Board Member of Eneco, as well as her extensive international experience in senior finance executive roles at AkzoNobel and DSM, Jeanine guides leaders through complex transitions – strategic, cultural, and personal – while anchoring their leadership in clarity and human connection. Jeanine obtained a master’s in business economics at the Free University Amsterdam, followed by an international post-master (RC) at the University of Maastricht and Amsterdam. Jeanine also obtained a degree as professional coach after a three-year education at Phoenix in Utrecht.

Her leadership philosophy, “Caring & Daring” is at the heart of her work. It blends strategic decisiveness with genuine care: setting bold directions while fostering trust, dialogue, and inclusion. Jeanine believes that today’s challenges cannot be solved through old leadership behavior. Instead, we need leaders who dare to act while caring for people and the planet.

During her tenure at Eneco, Jeanine played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s sustainability strategy and culture. She led the development and implementation of the One Planet Plan, committing Eneco to full climate neutrality by 2035. She integrated these ambitions into the financial and strategic core of the business, ensuring that climate goals informed investment decisions, KPIs, financing, and employee incentives. She also led a comprehensive finance transformation in both Eneco and AkzoNobel.

Jeanine’s coaching is deeply influenced by her personal journey inward: a path marked by self-reflection, courage, and authenticity. She encourages leaders to do the same: to reconnect with their inner compass, embrace vulnerability as a strength, and lead with both head and heart.
