It is NGL International’s mission to assist a new generation of leaders in their quest towards success as they steer businesses and society towards a more equitable, inclusive and sustainable future.

Our purpose

We are dedicated to supporting a new generation of leaders in their quest by providing them with expert advice on people issues, leadership and personal development. In doing so, we are unconventionally effective: we don’t tell leaders what they want to hear, but what they need to know. Our approach is inspired by a profound sense of idealism: we combine high standards of behaviour with honesty and dignity and we strive for diversity by fostering mutual respect and an appreciation of differences.

What is leadership?

Throughout the ages, this question has been asked again and again. Depending on the time, place, and circumstances, the answer has always been different. Every major shift in society (be it political, cultural or technological) has demanded a new kind of leadership. And each time this happened, a new generation of leaders has taken up the challenge of guiding us forward. At NGL International, we believe that today’s world needs such new leaders.

Being a leader is not the same as occupying a position at the top of a chain of command. And having the skills to direct the daily business in an organisation is not the same as leadership. We believe that the essence of leadership is the ability and commitment to stand at the head of a process of continuous change in which an organisation not only adapts to the evolving world around it, but actively and responsibly contributes to the development of that world and its future.

This is not an easy thing to do. It requires a profound understanding of business and of people. It requires a moral compass, a sense of purpose and a clear vision of how to get there. And it also requires the deep realisation that what separates successful organisations from the rest is the ability to sustain a creative process of transformation.

Leadership is as much about character as it is about capabilities. Bearing this in mind, we have designed and developed a unique set of tools and instruments to help professionals and organisations to improve their impact and performance – as individuals and as a team.
